Collet Facing Fixture

The collet facing fixture lets you install pullstuds on your R-8 collets so they will be compatible with the MACH-1 Quick Change Tooling System. The fixture is for modifying collets only. Ten pullstuds are included.

R-8 Shell Mill Holders

Mach-1 Shell Mill Holders feature our Drive Collar Technology to provide the most rigid R8 shell mill holders in the industry. Large diameter cutters with interrupted cuts will no longer shear your collet keys.  All of our shell mill holders have this feature as a permanent part of the tool.  After installing the shell mill into the spindle the collar is simply tightened around the spindle nose.

Erickson Collet Holder

It's hard to believe that someone could improve on Erickson collet holders but the Mach-1 system does just that.  Due to the use of our collet tightening fixture you now have the option of changing the tooling in or out of the spindle.  Simply place the holder into the tightening fixture for a faster more convenient set up.

Right Angle Head Retrofit

With the creation of our patented drive collar tooling came the innovation of retrofitting our customers right angle head.  By combining Drive Collar Technology with a simple keyway that mounts inside your right angle head it can now be used with the Mach-1 as well as power drawbars and manual drawbars.

Many people still use their right angle head attachment and some may be hesitant to purchase a quick change drawbar as a result.  This is no longer a problem!  With this retrofit not only can you use your right angle head with any type of drawbar but it is now driven by the drive collar spindle nose combination that dramatically increases rigidity.

At this point, we offer this retrofit as a service for anyone that needs it.

Drawbar Assembly

The Mach-1 Systems patented drawbar assembly simply installs directly into the R8 spindle replacing the existing drawbar.  The assembly comes with a 600 Lb. die spring, a hardened and ground coupling, and a five year warranty.

We are able to offer this exceptional warranty because Mach-1 drawbars do not turn within the spindle.   As a result the drawbar experiences very little wear and requires no maintenance.

This is one of the reasons why the Mach-1 is superior to all other quick change systems in the industry.

Modifying your R8 Tooling

R8 Tooling is tried and true tooling that has withstood the test of time. At Mach-1 Systems, we understand that our customers already own a substantial amount of R8 tooling.  We also understand that many of our customers have a do-it-yourself point of view and the ability to modify their tooling to work with the Mach-1 system.

Mach-1 supports this point of view and we encourage our customers to modify their own tooling by providing a collet facing fixture, pull studs, and any information necessary to modify our customers existing tooling to work with the Mach-1 System.  All we ask is that you buy our pull studs that are heat treated to Rc 55.

We also offer the service of tool modification for those customers that do not want to take time out of their busy schedule to retrofit existing tooling.  We are happy to provide this service and pride ourselves in taking great care of our customers tooling.  In some cases, it's a matter of facing the tools to length and adding a pull stud, but with more precise tooling, we add an oversize pull stud and grind it to size to ensure concentricity.
